Terms of Use and Disclaimer
1. Independent tool, not affiliated with the State of Ohio
The Service is independent third-party software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), the Ohio Department of Medicaid, eMBS, PAWS, Sandata, or any county board. Creating an account does not certify you as a provider or give you any right to bill Medicaid.
2. Your data stays on your device
Client profiles, visits, mileage, and claim information you enter are stored only in the web browser on your own device. We do not receive, store, view, or back up this information on our servers. Your account sign-in uses Google Firebase Authentication, which stores only your email address and sign-in details.
Because records are kept on your device, you are solely responsible for:
- keeping your device, browser, and any backup files secure, including using a password or encryption;
- not using a shared or public computer for client information;
- making and safely storing your own backups; clearing your browser, changing devices, or device failure can permanently erase records, and we cannot recover them;
- complying with HIPAA, Ohio law, DODD rules, and any other privacy and record-keeping requirements that apply to you.
3. You are responsible for every claim
The Service only helps you prepare information. It does not submit anything to eMBS or any government system. Unit calculations, service codes, rates, file formats, and limit checks may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Before uploading or submitting anything, you must check every line against your own records, your PAWS authorization, and current DODD and Medicaid rules. You alone are responsible for the accuracy of every claim you submit and for any denial, overpayment, recoupment, audit finding, penalty, or other consequence.
4. Not legal, billing, or professional advice
Information, help text, and calculations in the Service are general information only and are not legal, billing, tax, medical, or compliance advice. For questions about billing rules, contact DODD or your county board. For legal questions, consult a qualified attorney.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Service may contain errors, may change, and may be interrupted or discontinued at any time without notice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner and operators of the Service will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, payments, or claims, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or $0 if you have paid nothing.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to use the Service lawfully, to enter only information you are authorized to handle, and to indemnify and hold harmless the owner and operators of the Service from claims arising from your use of the Service, your records, or your claim submissions.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms. Questions: codywang1@gmail.com.
